Fine it almost sounds like its coming from up in the head area and not a rod knock? OMG
The Subaru organization is producing top of the line automobiles as usual. For the year 2013 they are coming out with The Impreza, The Outback and the Forrester. Quality automobiles that get great gas mileage and are low maintenance.
Sounds like a broken clutch spring.
on top of your tranny. located on the passenger side. should be connected to a cable coming out of your fire-wall close to your brake fluid canister. trace that cable to your tranny and you could open it with a wrench.forgive me I forgot the the size of the wrench.
Its a 1.8 95 Subaru Impreza AWD. The sound started when it was very cold one day. And it still is cold. The sound is not there when the car is ideling. And the sound is not affected by the revs, only the speed of the car. When the car hits about 40 km/h the squeal starts. And it gets worse when I accelerate. It goes away after a minute or two and starts again around 60 km/h. Then it goes away again and there is no more sound. It's a kind of belt noise but a bit more "gritty". Sounds like it's coming from left side of the car right next to the tire. I have checked the tire and found nothing to indicate that there is something wrong with it.
Under the dash, right by the steering column. It is a tin box that goes "clank" when flicked with your fingernail. Measures about 1 inch in thickness, 3 inches in width, and 6 inches in height. Fastened to the car frame by 2 10mm nuts, and has a lot of wires coming out of it.
Heater inlet hose on a 99 subaru legacy is on the passenger side coming out of the fire wall. One of only 2 hoses coming out of the fire wall.
Water appearing to be coming from the center of the enginge may be a leaking water pump. When the water pump begins to fail, water runs from behind the timing belt cover which may seem to be comming from the center of the engine. Hope this helps. Claude
cause it's junk
they started coming in 1000b.c
You could be low on coolant, a stuck thermostat, engine fan not coming on for starters. If still overheats, I would recommend taking it to a Subaru dealer.
