As resonance works, it quietes down the noise of your intake at WOT, or wide open throttle. You can remove it to make your exhaust sound louder by removing your intake tubing, removing the bottle looking plastic box, and filling the hole with a pill or vitamin bottle lid. I believe I used a Tylenol lid. It does not give you any power, only a better sounding intake.
A Helmholtz resonator intake system improves engine performance by reducing air turbulence and increasing air intake efficiency, resulting in better combustion and increased power output.
up behind transmission under the intake manifold to be more comftable take the battery off or you can leave it on,its your choice.thanks.
Key considerations in the intake resonator design process include optimizing airflow dynamics, minimizing pressure drop, selecting appropriate materials for durability and performance, and ensuring compatibility with the overall intake system design.
Simply unscrew the air intake hose from the resonator box. Then look on all 4 sides of the resonator for some bolts. Use a ratchet with an extension to unscrew the bolts, and it pops right off. Did it on my trailblazer to change thee spark plugs (located underneath the resonator box). Hope this helps!
"Resonator" usually refers to the Exhaust system. A resonator is a piece of tubing that is slightly larger in diameter than the rest of the exhaust pipe. It is usually located after the catalytic converter, and before the muffler. Vehicles can have multiple resonators. They also usually have some sort of sound deadening material inside. The name resonator would lead one to believe it makes the exhaust louder, but it is actually there to reduce drone and make a quieter exhaust tone. Resonator can also refer to a chamber in the intake system of the car that serves the same purpose as a resonator in the exhaust system.
With out major modifications the internals will become externals
it is located, or rather mounted on your air intake system. Whether the intake is an aftermarket part of oem the IAT sensor/connectors are usually on the manifold of the intake.
i think you may be talking about the resonator box. that quiets the intake noise and stops that hissing noise from hard acceleration. many people remove them because they like the extra noise.
a resonator restricts the sound in your exhaust. removing the resonator will give it a deeper sound. i would suggest changing the entire exhaust system and leaving he resonator off which would make a louder/meaner sound. leaving it on would silence the idle but when you rev it really high it would still be loud.

They call it a muffler. Or Catalyst. Or resonator.
To fix a power steering leak on a Mitsubishi 3000GT, first identify the source of the leak by inspecting hoses, connections, and the power steering pump. Once located, you can either tighten loose connections, replace damaged hoses, or, if the pump is leaking, consider replacing it. After repairs, refill the power steering fluid and bleed the system to remove any air. Always ensure to use the correct type of power steering fluid recommended for your vehicle.
