When driving the light should not be on. If the light is on the traction is off, don't mess with the button, it will engage by itself. This system its automatic. You will feel a big change in the engine as the system engages, as it tries to put power into the wheels that are slipping, I have a 2008 crv. This is a light duty system, no locking hubs, no four wheel drive button to push. Honda its very effeciant at this, it will get you threw the snow. Leave the button alone. Light on bad.light off normal. This is the best way I can explain this, manual is vague. They should change this-simplify it more.
