A throttle position higher than expected typically indicates that the throttle body is opening more than the engine control unit (ECU) anticipates based on the driver's input. This can result from a malfunctioning throttle position sensor, a stuck throttle, or issues in the electronic control system. Such a condition may lead to unintended acceleration or poor engine performance, prompting the need for diagnostic checks to ensure safe vehicle operation.
When a diagnostic code indicates that the throttle position sensor (TPS) is "out of range" on a 2001 Ford Explorer Sport, it means that the sensor is not sending the expected voltage signals to the engine control unit (ECU), indicating a problem with the throttle's position. "Ratch too low" suggests that the throttle position is below the minimum expected value, which can lead to poor engine performance, stalling, or difficulty in acceleration. This issue may stem from a faulty TPS, wiring problems, or issues with the throttle body itself. Addressing this requires inspection and potentially replacing the TPS or repairing any related wiring.
Code 24 throttle position sensor voltage low or throttle position sensor voltage high.
Assuming you mean the throttle position sensor (TPS), it would be found attached to the throttle body.
TBS?? If you mean TPS it is the throttle position sensor.
It is the code for the TPS Throttle position sensor
Throttle Position sensor out of range
Circuit Description The commanded throttle position (TP), based on accelerator pedal position (APP) and possibly other limiting factors, is compared to the actual throttle position. The powertrain control module (PCM) monitors the commanded and actual throttle position. This DTC sets if the PCM detects the condition. The throttle by wire technology is great but the throttle position sensor is a common failure in the 2002 + Trailblazers. www.trailvoy.com - True Enthusiasts helping others!
P0122 - Throttle Position Sensor circuit low input. P0123 - Throttle Position Sensor circuit high input. Change your TPS(Throttle Position Sensor). It is located on the driver's side of the throttle body with a three wire connector, usually white. If you need instructions, reply back.
Bad throttle position sensor
Throttle position sensor circuit low.
Assuming you mean the throttle position sensor. The throttle position sensors tells the engine computer when the throttle position has changed, it adjusts fuel flow to match the throttle opening. If the throttle position sensor fails then the engine computer has to depend only on the MAP sensor to define air flow thus how to adjust the fuel flow. I would expect then that response time would be slower than when the throttle position sensor works correctly. On a Chevy Celebrity it might also turn on the check engine light and post either a code 21 or a code 22.
code po121 means Throttle Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Range/Performance Problem . it is usually indicative of a faulty throttle position sensor or faulty wiring harness in the engine bay.
