Yes, Received letter, went to dealership and they took care of it. they charged Toyota almost $600 !!! 2005 Corolla owner
I was quoted $106 at my local Toyota dealership. It's all labor; no parts involved.
Code 14 means "no IGF signal to the ECM for 4 consecutive IGT signals" which means there is a communication problem between the ECM and distributor...
The Engine Control Module (ECM) on a 2005 Toyota Corolla Matrix is located in the engine compartment. Specifically, it can be found on the driver's side, near the firewall, typically mounted against the side of the vehicle. It's often housed in a protective casing and may require removing some covers to access it.
Toyota has released a TSB on this . You have to take it to Toyota and have the catalytic converter replaced and the ECM reflashed. And if you have over 80000 miles on it, you also have to pay for it.
you can't unless you have the computer to plug in the diagnosis port...it's all controled via the ecm!!!
Hey Ron==The timing is controled buy the ecm and is nonadjustable. Good luck Joe
