have u checked the coils i had the same problem after i changed mine the kia was fine
Your 2000 kia sportage would not accelerate and eventually went dead what could the problem be?
Yes
Camshaft sensor interrupter will send that code.
If the 2000 Kia Sportage has an emission control icon on the dash and the vehicle idles rough, it is probably the oxygen sensor that is the problem. It could also be that the air filter is dirty and needs to be changed.
If you haven't changed the fuel filter and air filter, do so.
Try replacing the camshaft sensor... had the same problem on an 89 and changed the sensor... works great now
I had the exact same problem with my 2002 Sportage. My problem was the fan clutch was worn out. If your's is a thermal clutch then that is probably the problem. The problem is that the liquid in the fan clutch gets too thin while it is spinning and does not coagulate when your coming to a stop or slowing down and does not spin faster as it should.
The engine doesn't know when to fire the cylinders because it doesn't know where the cam shaft is. change the sensor.
the f-150 fuel system shuts off and also does not restart sometimes , i changed the filter and fuel pump and problem still exist. the f-150 fuel system shuts off and also does not restart sometimes , i changed the filter and fuel pump and problem still exist.
Replace the leaking part
may not have been problem. remember you have a camshaft sensor, crankshaft sensor but most importantly the timing belt alignment .if it is worn or jumped a tooth will give same problem.Let me know what you have done to determine it is the cam shaft that needed to be replaced ?
