3e-e, 5efe, 5efhe, 4efte, 3ete, will all bolt up and be the cheapest. a 4age, 4agze, or 3sgte will fit with some frame modifications. basically you can put in any motor that will fit in the engine bay if you got enough cash.
You can put ANY engine in ANY vehicle. Your only limited by your pocketbook.....
in the engine
I dont think you could change the Transmission oil for the 1996 Toyota Tercel. Its sealed.
yes u can 91 through 94 is the same
Toyota Tercels do not have cabin air filters. Toyota did not put a cabin air filter in any Tercel sold in the US
Had the same issue, took the motors, cleaned the shafts and metal bearings, lubricated them, put fresh grease on the gears and re-installed them. Now they work just fine. Doesn't take much for those motors not to spin.
Transmission fluid goes in the transmission of a Toyota Tercel as instructed by the manual for the vehicle. To know what is best to put in the vehicle, get advise from an auto part supplier.
there is no dipstick! it is a sealed unit and has to be put on a lift to have it checked!
http://www.tercel4wd.com this is your best resource for the tercels.
It is very simple since it's only two clip that you have to loose and after put the new filter in place in the bracket on the firewall on the left side (driver side). I believe that the filter held by two clips is for the carbureted engine, while on the fuel injected '91 tercel, the fuel lines are bolted on top and bottom and the filter is bolted to the firewall in an inconvinient location.
you buy new emergency brake cables and put them on. you buy new emergency brake cables and put them on.
Apparently you can.. I have a JDM Corolla wagon (4x4), and I was told there are lift kits available for them..
