Nothing! Sending units are typically made specific for each vehicle.
As there aren't many sending units around for this type of vehicle, I would suggest checking your local scrap yard. Nissan Dealerships want about $190 for one of these, that's if they have it.
You can always take your unit to be rebuilt, or do it yourself if you have the facilities.
These sending units tend to corrode around the terminals on the top, causing the sending unit to stop working. You can fix this by cleaning the unit, and soldering the terminals back on. Just make sure you take care, and do this far from the open tank.
If the terminal closest to the rear of the car is corroded, This is the ground. Solder the connection and cover the contacts and back of the terminal with dielectric grease.
Easy fix!
If your broke the steel lines coming from the sending unit your pretty much SOL, so start looking around!
no different door the 93 will fit small on the 95
Yes, some '92 240sx' came with the ka24de motor.
i would like to know as well
no it will not. To fit 97-98 headlights onto a 95-96 240sx you will need these 97-98 240sx parts: headlights hood front fenders front bumper front grill maybe the front bumper support
A 1995 Nissan 240SX is unlikely to fit inside a 1993 Nissan Hardbody pickup due to the size and shape differences between the two vehicles. The 240SX is a sports coupe, while the Hardbody is a compact pickup truck with a cargo bed. Even if you could theoretically fit the 240SX into the bed, it would require significant modifications and likely damage both vehicles. Overall, transporting one vehicle inside another is impractical and not recommended.
I know that the ECMs are the same. If the mounts match up I would go for it.
um parts + labor... parts can be found on eBay and labor well, depends on where you live call a mechanic - it cost me 1100 to put one in my 90 240sx
Yes it will. You would have to do a complete engine swap. The Silvia engine is the SR20DET. They don't cost that much.
To paint a 1991 Nissan 240SX, you typically need about 1 to 2 gallons of paint, depending on the coverage and the number of coats applied. Since there are 4 quarts in a gallon, this means you would need approximately 4 to 8 quarts of paint. Factors such as the color change, surface condition, and painting method may affect the total amount required.
why would we want to know
The 240sx does not use a speedometer cable. It is electronic. The VSS (vehicle speed sensor) is located on the transmission. It sends pulses.AnswerI removed my entire guage cluster and never saw a cable, it was all electronic. not sure if that's where the cable would be, but that's what i found, just three plugs coming out of the cluster.
First thing would be that the car won't start. You can also just look in the trunk next to the spare tire hole and under the plate is your fuel pump. If it is not there then you will know.
