To connect an OBD code reader on a Mazda Miata, locate the OBD-II diagnostic port, which is typically found under the dashboard on the driver's side, near the steering column. You may need to remove a cover or panel to access it. Simply plug the scanner into the port, turn on the vehicle's ignition, and follow the instructions on the scanner to read the codes.
That is a Mazda MX-5 Miata.
mazda miata air bag code 21
you will have to get from Mazda or buy a used one
Just plug a code reader into the slot (somewhere under driver side dashboard) and it will clear the code for you and the indicator light will go away......and keep adequate pressure in your tires for future reference.
If its like my 2007 Mazda 6, there should be a place to connect right under the panel, under the steering wheel. If you feel underneath, it should be right against the back of the plastic panel.
Trouble code P0705 means:Transmission range sensor circuit malfunction (PRNDL input)
If your car is left-hand drive, next to your left knee, near the hood release is a small plastic cover. Remove it, and you'll see the plug just above the fuse box.
Trouble code P0421 means: Catalyst Efficiency Below Normal (Bank 1)
Trouble code P1797 means: Clutch Pedal Position Switch/Neutral Switch Circuit
OBD2 code reader plugged into port under dash, disconnect batt for a while. Note-clearing codes without repair will result in fault reoccuring so light will continue to come back on
You need OBD2 reader or scanner to get the codes
