On a 2006 Kia Spectra, the evaporative emission control (EVAP) hose is typically located near the fuel tank and the engine bay. It connects the fuel tank to the EVAP canister, which is usually situated near the rear of the vehicle. The hose may run along the chassis or under the vehicle, and it can be accessed from underneath or by removing panels in the trunk area. Always refer to the vehicle's service manual for specific details and diagrams.
the evap vent valve is located on the top of the fuel tank. the valve can only be serviced with the fuel tank removed from the vehicle. if you look under the rear of your vehicle in the trunk area you will see a black hose that looks like a household vacuum hose. that hose leads to the top of the to to the vent valve.
Follow the upper hose from your radiator back to the thermostat. The temp sensor is located right behind the thermostat on the back side of the engine.

The evap hose, or evaporative emissions control hose, is part of the vehicle's evaporative emissions system, which captures fuel vapors from the fuel tank and prevents them from escaping into the atmosphere. On a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 with a 3.9L engine, there are typically two primary EVAP hoses: one connecting the fuel tank to the EVAP canister and another leading from the canister to the intake manifold. These hoses are essential for ensuring the system operates correctly and maintains emissions compliance.
On the 2006 Chevy Impala, the thermostat is located in the hose that is directly above the middle cylinder. It is on the driver's side of the engine compartment right behind the alternator. Look for a long hose that goes from the radiator to that location.

Trouble P1486 means: EVAP Leak Monitor found a pinched hose
3.7L and 4.7L it is under the housing where the lower radiator hose attaches to the engine. 5.7L it is under the housing where the upper radiator hose attaches to the engine.
