THE MAF sensor is located immediately next to the air filter box; it will be mounted right to the side/top of your air intake "hose" and have a wiring harness connected to it.
Toi remove and clean, disconnect the wiring harness, remove/unbolt the MAF sensor, and clean gently with CRC "MAF CLEANER" spray (gently spraying from several inches away). Allow to dry, and repeat the sprayout. Allow to dry, remount and reconnect the wiring harness.
Remember with I30's as with most ECU (electronic control units) it will take 50 or 60 miles of driving to update the ECU memory with new data, unless you have a diagnostics unit to reset the ecu. (Disconnecting the battery may or may not work depending upon the condition of the ecu battery backup)
