Hello, Jamison here, I can't recall, But if you are using A scanning tool like a M2500 and it sounds like you are, It will tell you where it is,,,,,,,,, Hope I did'nt mess you up,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Jamison.
OBD1
it is ALDL, or some call it OBD1. It is easier to pull trouble codes off of using a paper clip rather than using a scanner. There is alot of info on the web if you google ALDL
i do believe obd1. the engine is a 1uz-fe
YES, all vehicles prior to 1995 were OBD1.
1st make sure your using an obd1 code reader it may have an obd2 style port but its not its obd 1 then you need to check the wiring if thats good then it needs a pcm
On my brother's 1995 Jeep Cherokee, as well as my 1992 Jeep Cherokee (Both with the 4.0L engine) the OBD1 connector is located in the engine compartment on the left side, between the air cleaner and the computer module. It's a funny looking plug, not the standard OBD connector.
12 pin ALDL pinouts A, B, E, M jump A+B Turn on key to run-SES will flashout codes. to clear , unhook neg. post on battery for 30 sec.-can also use OBD1/OBD2 scanner! 12 pin ALDL pinouts A, M they are using UART on A - M is 12vdc. get a scanner w/ OBD1-OBD2 protocals, use the OBD1 connector cable, you will pull & erase codes. ( This is a OBD 1.5 Bastard) I use AutoX-ray Codescout 2500 16 pin ALDL pinouts 4,5,6,9,12,14,16 jump 5+6 Turn on key to run-SES will flashout codes. the scanner is nessary to pull and erase codes w/ the 16 pin GM specific(Blue plug) this cable cost extra $80. Or go to junkyard , get a 12pin ALDL w/ A,B,E,D,M pins and wire as such. A to 5, B to 6, E to 9, M to 16 use the supplied OBD1 cable. (This is also a OBD1.5 Bastard)
The OBD1 or "ALDL" (Assembly Line Data Link) connector is behind the lower right-hand corner of the glovebox, or above and to the right of the front passenger's feet. In some Storms, the Haynes manual claims there are up to three connectors. The white one is the engine one, the orange one is the airbag/SIR, and the green one is the transaxle. My 1991 Storm apparently only has the white ALDL/OBD1 connector. I wouldn't mess with the orange one, if it's there. To put the ECM (Engine Control Module/Ignition Control Module/Engine Computer) into diagnostic mode, where it will flash codes at you using the "MIL" (Malfunction Indicator Light or "Check Engine" light), short pins 1 and 3 of the ALDL/OBD1 connector using a paperclip. When you then turn the key into the on position, the MIL should flash once, then pause a bit, then flash twice. That means code "12." If there are other codes, they will be flashed out as well. All codes are two digits.
I believe they didnt put obd1 ports on till 95
OBD1 code 41 = solenoid valve, vehicle speed control
No , all engine's before 1995 where obd1 after 1995 obd2. Same goes for the b16a2 , if you have for instance a engine from a '94 Del Sol vti (b16a2) It is obd1. Lex
There is none. This is an OBD1 vehicle.
