This answer is in relation to a Matiz on a 51 plate. The surround is removed by unscrewing 4 screws around where the speedo display is situated, and another screw at the back of the compartment below the radio. after this the surround pulls off. To refit, the surround just pushes back on and replace the screws.
you must be using the brakes too much, start using the handbreak more please.
You might need to replace the back-up light sensor, located under the dash, by the brake pedal. The correct term is "brake light switch" instead of "back up light sensor." And yes, it is located above the brake pedal.
The transmission dipstick on a Daewoo Matiz is typically located near the back of the engine bay, often towards the passenger side. It is usually marked with a bright color, such as yellow or orange, to distinguish it from other dipsticks. To check the transmission fluid, ensure the vehicle is on a level surface, and the engine is running. Pull the dipstick out, wipe it clean, reinsert it, and then check the fluid level.
I was told by my parts guy that the back up light switch is the same as the reverse light switch.

To wire a light switch to a light, you will need to connect the switch to the power source and the light fixture. Turn off the power, remove the cover plate, and disconnect the existing switch. Connect the wires from the switch to the corresponding wires in the wall and the light fixture. Secure the connections with wire nuts and screw the switch back into place. Turn the power back on and test the switch to ensure it is working properly.
You can try to reset your brake light switch by unplugging the brake light switch and plugging it back in. If that does not solve your problem you will need to replace the brake light switch.
To remove a Daewoo Matiz steering wheel, first disconnect the car battery to ensure safety. Then, remove the airbag by unscrewing the screws located at the back of the steering wheel, being cautious of any wiring. Once the airbag is removed, use a steering wheel puller if necessary to unscrew the central nut and gently pull the steering wheel off the column. Make sure to keep track of all screws and components for reassembly.
