Bank 2 indicates the bank containing cylinder #2. Bank one contains cylinder #1. Passenger side cylinder #'s are 2,4,6. Driver's side's are 1,3,5. Make a diagram for yourself, it helps a lot for not forgetting.
Ok. Now that you know where bank 2 is. The GV v6 has 4 O2 sensors, 2 on each pipe that comes directly out of each manifold on either side of engine. On each side, one sensor is above or 'upstream' of the little pre catalytic converter, one is below or 'downstream'. The upstream sensor is #1, the downstream sensor is #2.
Therefore Bank 2 sensor 1 is the upstream or top sensor on the passenger side bank of cylinders.
This concerns the O2 sensors, which I assume is what you are referring to.

you have to separate the engine and tranny to have access!! very labor intensive
On a 2000 Suzuki Grand Vitara, the crankshaft position sensor is typically located near the crankshaft, often found on the engine block or transmission bell housing. Specifically, it is usually positioned on the lower part of the engine, near the oil pan or the front of the engine, depending on the engine configuration. To access it, you may need to remove some components or covers. Always refer to the vehicle's service manual for exact location and removal instructions.
