yes it does many tiburon owners have had this problem and others like me contact Hyundai of North America 1-800-633-5151 and file a claim if enough people do this they will recall the faulty BCM and give us a up graded one
The body control module can have everything to do with it. If the engine computer and the body control module do not have communication between one another than the engine will start then die after 2 sec.

It is under the dash near the steering column.
2001-2003 it is behind a panel under the glove box.
Below the steering wheel and above the pedals
At the deal it'll cost about $650 for new module and labor to install and program it.
It doesn't have a body control module.
