There are multiple freeze plugs for these motors. From memory ther are 3 freeze plugs located down the each side of the block and possibly one located on the head.

A freeze plug is located in the side of an engine block that is supposed to protect the block against freeze damage.
Locate the bad freeze plug and remove parts that impede the facilitation of reaching the plug. Take a screwdriver and hammer out the old plug. Replace the plug with either a regular plug (a socket that fits the inside of the freeze plug helps) or a rubber expanding freeze plug.

Freeze plugs are located in numerous places on the engine block and cylinder head assemblies. Replacement of freeze plugs is usually beyond the skill level of most amateur mechanics.
Pull the old freeze plug, clean up the hole, press in a replacment. Unfortunately you may need to remove a lot of peripheral stuff to get to the freeze plug.
use a screwdriver to pop the old freeze plug out. Be careful not to score the surrounding metal. Fit the new plug into place then tap gently around it to seat the plug.
They are located on the lower part of the motor
There are actually no freeze plugs located in the block. The only freeze plugs are located in the cyl. heads front and rear.
