How difficult is it ro replace the trunk cable in a 1998 camry? The trunk is stuck shut and I was told the cable snapped. Thanks!
See if you can locate the cable that goes to the lever on the front of the transmission and determine if that cable is broken. If you find a broken cable, replace it, if not you may have a serious transmission problem.
To open the engine bonnet on a Porsche 911 SC with a stuck cable, first, locate the release mechanism inside the car, usually near the driver's side footwell. If the cable is stuck, you can try pulling the cable with a pair of pliers for extra grip. If that doesn't work, you may need to access the latch from underneath the car or use a long screwdriver to manually release the latch. Lastly, consider lubricating the cable or replacing it to prevent future issues.
Reach through the plastic grill and pull cable!!!!!!
Open hatch and remove LEFT small plastic door and pull Emergency release cable.
cut the cable or disconnect the cable from the calipers
Thermostat is stuck open.
Depending on weather it has a cable or hyd. clutch it could be your slave cyld. is stuck or is low on oil. It is cable the linkage might be stuck or your cable is broken or out of adjustment.
Stuck closed, you cannot. Stuck open, you are foolish
There are several things that can cause a key to get stuck in the ignition. You can try turning the steering wheel a bit to the left or right to see if that allows it to release. Also, try pushing the key in a bit more and turn it to the lock position, then try pulling it out. Don't force the key or it could break off in the ignition.
Unless the car has been wrecked, the usual problem is a stuck or broken hood release cable. If you go under the dash you can usually get hold of the end. Otherwise the cable can be reached under the engine compartment.
Use a screw driver to turn it on and off lol its not gonna come out
