The idle control valve on a 2004 Mitsubishi Galant ES is located on the throttle body, typically near the intake manifold. You may need to remove the air intake duct and possibly some wiring harnesses to access it. It is important to ensure the engine is cool and to disconnect the battery before attempting any work on the valve. Always consult the vehicle's service manual for specific instructions and diagrams.
The strainer valve on the Mitsubishi Galant 2004, 2005, 2006 models is located next to the engine manifold.

No. It's not interference engine.
the speed sensor for 2004 Mitsubishi Galant is located on the front case of the transmission output shaft and speed sensor. It is approximately under the hood to the left of the engine.
Can you? Yes. Should you? NO! Use exactly what Mitsubishi recommends and that is not 15w40.
No you do not! th egr valve is located just under the throttle body. there are 2 10mm bolts holding it in, you just need to remove air intake to the throttle body! it is directly under it!
