On a regular cab Ford Ranger, the Jack and lug wrench are behind the passenger seat bolted to the floor.
New cars come with a lug wrench and a jack.
At the rear of the vehicle, in the cargo compartment, there should be a panel on the left side. Remove that, and the jack and lug wrench will be in there.

A standard wheeled tire iron will work great to remove the lug nuts, especially with an electric jack.
