Since the advent of electric fans 30 or more years ago there has always been a warning on the fan shroud that the fan may start running at any time even with the engine off. However, reading between the lines of your question, you may be experiencing a stuck fan relay. There are three relays in the electrical schematic for my 2007. I don't know what year yours is. If mine did run continuously I would suspect the first main fan relay that just happens to be in the main fuse box.
make sure when putting gas cap back on that you tighten the cap until it clicks or the check engine light will ccome on
The hazard flasher activation button has been depressed.
Chances are you also have a "check engine" light. This is an effort by Subaru to nudge you into getting the problem diagnosed and repaired. I just bought my third Subaru, a 2007 Outback and just discovered this feature." All of my Subarus have spent more time with the light on than with it off and I find losing the cruise control to be terribly inconvenient. Would be different if the same problems did not keep coming back again and again. Good luck! --Ken
The owners manual states 4.2 quarts. I use 4.5 to keep things easy.
Head gasket is probably blown. Water is passing out through exhaust. This is a common problem with subarus

Ah, what a wonderful question! The 2006 Subaru Outback 2.5 typically has an oil capacity of around 4.2-4.4 quarts. Remember, it's always good to check your owner's manual to be sure you're adding the right amount of oil to keep your car running smoothly. Just a happy little reminder to take good care of your vehicle, my friend.
To reset the onboard computer of a 1997 Subaru Outback, disconnect the negative battery cable and let it sit for about 15 minutes. This will clear the memory and reset the onboard diagnostics. After reconnecting the cable, turn the ignition to the "On" position without starting the engine for a few seconds, then start the vehicle. Keep in mind that this may also reset other settings, so you may need to reprogram your radio and clock.
The 1998 Subaru Legacy Outback has a fuel tank capacity of approximately 16.9 gallons (64 liters). This allows for a decent driving range, depending on the vehicle's fuel efficiency. Keep in mind that actual fuel consumption may vary based on driving conditions and maintenance.
Its not your engine. Its the fan running to cool the engine down. They all do it and nothing is wrong with your car.
Well, hello there! The fuel filter on a 2000 Subaru Outback is located along the fuel line, usually underneath the car near the fuel tank or along the frame rail. It's a small but important part that helps keep your engine running smoothly. Just remember to take your time and approach the task with a gentle hand, and you'll do just fine. Happy filtering!
