It should. My wife bought a brand new one back in July 2001, Xterra SE V6 3.3 2WD and it currently has 150K miles on it as of 08/27/2012. Compared to my 1997 Toyota Supra, the Xterra had things fail sooner. However, at 150K, the vehicle feels like it has 1/2 its life left. Besides all fluid changes, fuel and air filters at normal intervals, here's everything that I did for the vehicle which I've categorized as premature failures. premature failure of one of the belt pulleys and all 4 power window regulator failed (was a recall). extra cigarette charger failed (still broken). Radiator failed and replaced at 140K, 6-disc CD changer failed at 140K, knock sensor light came on and went away at 125K failed but fixed itself, 2 O2 sensors failed at 130K, Front brake rotors at 150K (i expected it to go 200K), slight tolerance exceeding runout limit on passenger front wheel hub (this should be bullet proof), thread failure on 3 lug bolts replaced (probably my fault), valve cover gasket failure at 130K (normal), currently there is a slow oil leak at the rear oil seal near the transmission housing (seems to be common for this vehicle and loses about 1qt for 3000miles), muffler had a hole at 130K (this shouldn't occur unless too much hydro-carbons), rear windshield fluid pump appears to have failed, front and rear bumpers beginning to separate from body (this points to build quality), dash shakes a bit over bumpy roads, driver side door no longer stays in 1/2 stop but closes instantly and can crush your leg (this issue happened almost from day-1).
300000 miles
300000 miles
With proper maintenance and care it should.
around 150000 but if a diesel the max 300000
Your belt is listed to last 105000 miles. Do not wait to replace it, mine broke 1000 miles after that. Not a fun time.
There is no firm answer to this question, a well cared for car can last 300000 miles. A poorly cared for or neglected car could be ready for the junkyard at 60000 miles.
Nissan engines are reported to last years. There are reports of engines with as many as 220,000 miles and still running great.
Cars that can last you a long time would be toyota, honda, and nissan. Toyota has been none to have cars last 300k to 400k miles more then any car. Honda 280k to 390k miles. Nissan 280k to 300k miles.
Yes. I have seen a few Mercedes/Dodge Sprinters with over 500,000 miles and the original timing chain. One even had well over 800,000.
definetly, bought a nissan sentra for my son, has 280 thousand miles on it, as long as you take care of the engine it will last. Engine is wonderful. runs superbly
my bro has 2004 1 and it has got 228.000 miles on it drives everday
Japanese build quality and cheap maintenance, probably good for over 100,000 miles
