The problem in your computer. When the car first starts up the ECU is in open loop mode and everything works(non-controlled by the ecu). Then it goes in to closed-loop mode with everthing being monitored by the ECU. The closed loop circuit of ECU has shorted out. I had the same problem with my 86. To verify this, hook up a inline fuel pressure guage after the fuel filter on the right inner fender well, when you start the car up, have someone watch the fuel pressure and see if it goes away and the cars dies at the same time. If it does the ECU is your problem.
A more defined question is: Is the 300zx fast? Does it look fast? = yes, well if it acts like a duck, walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, then yes! IT MUST BE A DUCK! Yes the 300zx is fast especially the Twin Turbo. Stock Horsepower for this car was 222hp and for a car that has approximately 2800lbs the horsepower to weight ratio was unheard of at its time. The Twin Turbo has 300hp.
Yes. Any wheels with the wheel lug pattern 5X114.3 will work on the 300ZX (Z32). The difference of the Twin turbo wheels from the non turbo wheels are the rear wheels being wider by 1/2 inch or so. close to 200 , (like 180 in that range) with the na vg30e has only 160-165
90-96 Non turbo 222, 90-96 twin turbo 300, 280 with auto trans --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thats like the biggest beauty of the Z. With larger injectors, like 555cc or high (ecu needs to be chipped), a Z can get up to like 380 whp on stock turbos
You will have to do extensive Mods, and if you've never done anything like it, it will be VERY not-easy! dave
i have 90 300 zx and i locked my keys in car had to jimmy the lock and after i got in and my stuff was going crazy like that and all i had to do was unlock passenger side door and it stopped
first check for juice. it sounds like your not getting power to the coil. check with a test light. if your not getting power work back to the source proboly a fuse of some sort in the engine compartment
the alternator is about $80-95. i had to replace mine like 3 times. Its not difficult but very time consuming and cramped space.

what is a positive diff erential? do you mean a limited slip differential or an open differential? the limited slip is kinda like posi-traction in that both wheels get equal power instead of one spinning like crazy and the other doing nothing... the 87-89 turbo models had LSD and all the 90-96 models (turbo and n/a) had LSD
Well it depends what you mean by "adjust". Since I think you mean angle, there was a kit issued with a lot of ZXs that was made for adjusting the lense in a grey foam container beside the spair.
