The bodies in the solar system formed from left over matter from an exploding star. The hydrogen coalesced into some of the gas giants, but the majority created the sun. Some of the remaining dust particles and heavier elements coalesced to form the inner planets, such as the Earth, Mars and Venus.

How and why the earth is older than the sun?

The Earth is younger than the Sun. The Sun formed about 4.57 billion years ago, whereas the Earth was formed about 4.54 billion years ago.The Earth could only form after the Sun because it was the Suns gravitational influence, that allowed the rocky bodies to coalesce.

Why is an eclipse formed?

Because the rotation of the moon around the Earth, it depends on the location pattern of the sun and moon.angle2222222:HOW IS A LUNAR ECLIPSE FORMED?A lunar eclipse is formed when the Earth (our homeland)comes in between the Sun and the Moon. The Earth blocks the light from the Sun which was supposedly had to reach the moon. Then a region (on earth)will observe the moon that has not much of light.

What causes Earth?

If by "causes" you mean what caused Earth to form - Earth was formed from the left over stuff that formed Sun. A nebula of dust and rocks was pulled together by its own gravity and formed the sun, but not all of it was pulled to the center of the mass and the residual stuff began to orbit around the Sun. These orbiting particles and rocks and asteroids collected into bands and eventually formed into the planets, including Earth.
