no human has ever landed on mars however many many probes have been sent there
The US and the Soviet Union made several failed attempts to launch a spacecraft to Mars. The Soviet's Mars 1 was the first spacecraft successfully placed on a course toward Mars. It was supposed to do a fly-by. Contact with it was lost while on the way -- it may have passed near the planet. The US spacecraft Mariner 4 completed the first confirmed Mars fly-by on July 14, 1965
Mars 2 was the first of many landers to reach the surface of Mars. Mars 2 was a Soviet probe launched on a Proton K rocket. The orbiter was a success, but the lander crashed on a Saturday, November 27, 1971. The Soviet Mars 6 transmitted data during its descent, but was not heard from since before landing. It too may have crashed. Viking 1 landed on Mars five years after the first Soviet attempt, on Tuesday, July 20th, 1976.

First ever satellite to land on the planet Mars was a Russian probe called Mars 2. Albeit it did not land but crashed. The first successful probe to land on Mars was Mars 3 sent by the Russians, however the probe was operational for 15 minutes after landing on Mars. The first American probe to land on Mars was the Viking 1 on the 20th of July 1976.
the first lunar landing
known by my knowledge it is mars 2 c'OS mars 1 did not have successful landing both of them are probes of the soviet union
The first successful landing on Mars took place on the 20th of August 1975

No one's landed on Mars yet. The Soviet Union sent out a probe however, with no one on it. Mars 2 - The first probe that we know of by the Soviet Union to "land" on Mars, the others losing the signals. Mars 2 crash landed. Mars 3 - The first successful soft landing on Mars. Signals were lost 90 seconds after landing. (1971) Mars 5 - First fully successful Soviet Union Mars mission, orbiting Mars. Returned images of Martian surface. (1974) Mars 6 - Landing fail in 1974, crashed into Mars. Others either completely missed it, we lost the signal, or they tried to go to one of Mars' moons (Phobos 1 and 2)
Curiosity is unmanned.
