The stars in the Big Dipper, listed from brightest to dimmest, are: Dubhe (Alpha Ursae Majoris), Merak (Beta Ursae Majoris), Phecda (Gamma Ursae Majoris), Megrez (Delta Ursae Majoris), Alioth (Epsilon Ursae Majoris), Mizar (Zeta Ursae Majoris), and Alkaid (Eta Ursae Majoris). Dubhe and Merak are often referred to as the "Pointer Stars" because they help locate Polaris, the North Star.
The smallest star is called: OGLE-TR-122b. It is almost as big as Jupiter. Stars can be quite big. The biggest star in the galaxy is called: VY Canis Majoris. That hypergiant star is way to big. The sun is invisible compared to it. 7 quadrillion Earths' can fit in the VY Canis Majoris.
VY Canis Majoris (VY CMa) is the largest known star and also one of the most luminous. It has a radius of around1,800 -> 2,100 times that of our Sun. If the Sun was replaced by VY Canis Majoris, it's outer envelope would extend beyond Saturn.See related link for a pictorial.
Neither of them! The VY Canis Majoris is indeed bigger, but it isn't the biggest star in the Universe. The XZ Majoris Ceiphei is almost as big as the smallest Nebula, and it would take 10,000 years to orbit it in a passenger airplane. It is the biggest star in the Universe. So indeed the XZ Majoris Ceiphei is bigger than either the VY Canis Majoris or the NML Cygni. Comments: Estimating the sizes of these big stars is not easy and there are different answers in different places. For example, Wikipedia now gives NML Cygni as bigger than VY Canis Majoris. Also, I must admit I've never heard of "XZ Majoris Ceiphei". I know of the binary star XZ Cephei, but that's not the biggest star.
Io, one of Jupiter's moons, is roughly one-fourth the size of Earth in terms of diameter. Its diameter is about 3,643 kilometers (2,263 miles), compared to Earth's diameter of approximately 12,742 kilometers (7,918 miles).
more than 2,100 times the size of the Sun
Yes. It is way bigger. The VY Canis Majoris is known to be 1,000,000,000 times the size of the Sun. It's so big that on a scale between the 2 the VY Canis Majoris would almost be a complete rectangle compared to the Sun (and the Sun is as small as a few pixels). The star would reach the top of the screen. Winner: VY Canis Majoris

Beta Ursae Majoris (Merak) is a star in the constellation of Ursa Major. It is about twice the size of our Sun.
The largest known star "VY Canis Majoris" has a 987,600,000 km radius whereas the sun only has a puney 695,500 km radius.
The Great Bear or Ursa Major has Stars and is the 3rd biggest constelation as viewed from Earth. Neptune is 34 times bigger then earth

A couple of light-years.
If Saturn was a bed sheet, Earth would be a handkerchief. Earth is just a troublesome little rock compared to the big boulder Saturn. Another way, Earth would be a Pekinese, and Saturn would be a Bernese Mountain Dog.
VY Canis Majoris is the largest known star with a radius equal to 2600 solar radii. It would take over 7,000,000,000,000,000 (7 quadrillion) Earths to fill the volume of VY Canis Majoris
