There are a few vital things needed on Mars before humans can colonize the planet.Survival in space requires a pressurized environment and must include: oxygen for humans to breathe; a thicker atmosphere for oxygen to be able to form; water for obvious reasons; and warmer temperatures as it is too cold on Mars for humans (the average temperature is -68 degrees Celsius) to survive.
There is yet no proof of humans being able to live in Mars; if there was, we'd already be there, polluting its air.
This idea came from the fact that Mars offers suitable gravity and raw materials for a colony; Mercury and Venus are too hot as they are are too near the sun and the gas Giant don't have livable surfaces of gravity.
Temperature also suggests that life on Mars is possibe; temperaturesof 20° C to -40°C suggest a livable climate. I would also like to say that there has been evidence to suggest that there is water in Mars, obviosly, or else there would be no talk of "Life On Mars".
Considering all above points, one can say that a protective habitat is possible on Mars.
by living in a biodome, with food, oxygen and water.
lack of water
lack of oxygen in the atmosphere
(i think)
Travel time
Earth. Only earth so far, maybe mars if there was water and enough oxygen
humans are idiots to want to move to mars
Yes, Humans will go to Mars. Scientists a thinking that later they will send astronauts to live on the red planet (Mars).
Mars is the planet that is least unlikely to be visited by humans
To date no human has been to Mars.
Water
Unless humans figure out a way to create artificial air, we would never survive on Mars.
yes but not unuff
It is possible that very primitive life could survive on Mars, but not advanced life leading to anything like humans.
Mars is no place for a human being. There is no breathable oxygen and no water, which are both things that humans need to survive.
No if humans can't survive it what makes you think pets can
Earth. Only earth so far, maybe mars if there was water and enough oxygen
Venus is very hot with poisonous gases in the atmosphere, Mars is very cold with a low atmospheric pressure.
We all know humans need water to survive. If we find water on Mars, astronauts don't have to carry all those tons of water to the planet, and they can stay on Mars longer to do research.
Yes humans will suffocat on Mars. Human depend on Oxygen to breathe and without oxygen, we will die. Oxygen is present in th Earth's atmosphere and it is not on Mars. To survive on Mars, we need to use an astronaut's suit with oxygen support.
Not really. Its too cold to live on Mars and there is not enough oxygen. Humans would need to bring breathing aparatus, heating, a pressure suit and food to survive there.
It is feasible, yes, though there are many technical problems that would have to be overcome first. Mars is not habitable to earthlings as it is, but it is potentially the most habitable place in our solar system after earth.
