along enough air for everyone on the crew for months or years, and it'll be necessary

to have something aboard the ship that generates oxygen as they go. But so far, as of

the end of 2010, every human being who has ever gone to space ... even the ones who

stayed aboard the space stations for many months ... has breathed air from the surface

that was pumped into pressurized tanks and launched into orbit for their use.
