changes somewhat during the course of a year. The average distance is about
93 million miles.

The only thing about Earth's orbit that you might call 'unusual' is the fact that the Earth
is the only planet that travels in it. Each of the other planets in the solar system is in an
orbit that is significantly nearer to the sun or farther from it than the Earth is.

Earth is about 150 million kilometers from the Sun. The orbit is not particularly unusual.
