NASA had planned to have a return trip to the moon for as early as 2019 (fifty year anniversary of Apollo 11). However with the project being cancelled in Presidents Obama's budget, all such plans have been delay for an postponed as well...
They didn't. It is a well-known fact that the "moon landings" were faked. There is a plan for a real mission scheduled for 2025, when the technology exists. Source: computer programmer for NASA.
Ther is no set date for a a return to the moon yet, but NASA is now working on a new space program called "Constelation", which will work on establishing and maintaining a permanet moon base. They need to build a whole new set of space vehicles for this project, since the Space Shuttles are not capable of landing on the moon.Another answer:The original plan was another manned moon mission by 2020, but recent (September 2009) news articles puts that severely in doubt.See the two Related Links shown below (one titled "Nasa's manned Moon mission too expensive" and the other titled "Mars and Moon Are Out of NASA's Reach for Now, Review Panel Says").
The Constellation program, which had planned to land Americans back on the moon sometime between 2018 and 2020 has been canceled. At this time there is no plan for a manned return to the moon.
The exact time a spacecraft lands on the moon depends on its trajectory and mission plan. The Apollo missions typically landed on the moon in the lunar morning, which provided better lighting for visibility and thermal control. The landing phase usually occurred around dawn on the moon's surface.

No it did not go to plan, instead of landing on the moon it flew around the moon and then returned to earth. The astronauts landed in the ocean in their spacecraft.
NASA is responsible. Although, they only closed the missions to the moon. They only closed the moon missions so they can start to plan to land man on Mars

That will greatly depend on how you fast you travel.
NASA's current plans include exploring Mars with the Perseverance rover, returning humans to the Moon through the Artemis program, and conducting further research on climate change and Earth's environment. They are also working on developing advanced technologies for space exploration, such as the James Webb Space Telescope and the Space Launch System.
They plan to do so in 2037.
According to plan there were 12 astronauts who walked on the moon, and it was during each moon mission that only two astronauts walked on the moon. at a time. with six moon landings.
