Gold and silver - and indeed all the elements are not formed on any planet (though they may be found on planets). the elements Hydrogen and Helium were formed at the begining of the universe during the early stages of the big bang. Later all the other elements up to the mass of Iron were formed from hydrogen and helium in the cores of stars. The elements heavier than Iron are all formed in supernova explosions when big stars explode at the end of their lives. These explosions scatter these new heavy elements out into space where the eventually collapse to form new suns and the planets round these suns. Thus all the Gold and Silver found on earth were formed in dead stars and were part of the dusty disk that formed round our sun in its youth. This disk gave rise to all the planets and therefore there will be some Gold and Silver in all the planets.

Elements are not formed on planets (Unless human intervention was involved). Heavy metals like Gold and Silver are formed through fusion inside of a star. As a result, gold and silver should be scattered throughout the universe.

Will gold react with silver?

Gold and silver are both noble metals, so they do not react with each other in normal conditions. However, in extreme conditions, such as high temperatures, they can form an alloy called a gold-silver amalgam.

What is the process of gold making from silver?

Gold and silver are two separate elements: one cannot be made from the other.

How was gold formed?

Gold is primarily formed in supernova explosions or from the collision of neutron stars. In these extreme events, heavy elements like gold are created through nuclear fusion processes. Over millions of years, this newly-formed gold is ejected into space where it eventually becomes part of planets, including Earth.

Can you wear silver and gold earrings if you are allergic to other materials or can you only wear gold?

Usually sterling silver is fine, but for many, silver or gold-plated is no good. Pure is what you need.

Where does gold originate from and how is it formed?

Gold is formed in the cores of stars through a process called nuclear fusion. When these stars explode in supernovae, they release gold and other heavy elements into space. Over billions of years, these elements come together to form asteroids and planets, including Earth. Gold is then brought to the surface through geological processes like volcanic activity and erosion.

Will a magnet be able to tell if its gold or silver?

No, magnets are useful for finding iron, but almost all other metals do not respond to magnets. Gold and silver are equally non-magnetic. However, there are lots of other differences that would enable you to distinguish between gold and silver. Even if you have an alloy of gold and silver, you can tell how much of it is gold and how much of it is silver, by analysing the density of the alloy. Gold is much denser than silver.

What does 925 mean on gold?

"925" stamped on gold jewelry signifies that it is sterling silver, not gold. Sterling silver is an alloy containing 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals like copper.
