IF the moon has purple spots, THEN it is June. If-then statements are made up of two things. A hypothesis, the "if" part, and the conclusion, the "then" part. Now here is where it starts getting confusing. If perhaps the hypothesis should be "illogical" like the moon having purple spots, then the statement would be considered true. On the other hand, if the hypothesis were to be:If it is June, and the conclusion being:then the moon has purple spots. That would be false, because the hypothesis falls under the realm of logic and it's counterpart, the conclusion, is false and illogical.
