A flashlight. Not to be a smart aleck, but you need a source of light to make night vision possible. That's technical nightvision.

I assume you mean military 'I can see you, but you can't see me' nightvision.

Basically, you create a headset (like binoculars that attach to your head) with two things; a special flashlight and a special camera.

The flashlight emits a light frequency that we can't normally see, but the special camera can. The special camera is connect to a screen of somesort in the headset. When you put on the headset you look at the screen, so you see what the camera sees.

I believe military headset used to use infrared light.

Night vision goggles may have difficulty seeing through fog, as the water droplets in the fog can scatter and distort the light that the goggles pick up. This can reduce the clarity and range of vision when using night vision goggles in foggy conditions.

Is night vision UV vision?

No. Night Vision equipment uses infra-red (IR) light, wavelengths of light longer (lower frequency) than visible light. Infra="below", red, or light below red light in the spectrum. UV stands for ultra (above)-violet, light that is above the violet light spectrum, so higher frequency=shorter wavelength.

Why do bats stay up all night?

Bats are nocturnal animals, which means they are naturally adapted to be active at night. They have evolved to have special adaptations for their nighttime habits, such as excellent night vision and echolocation, which help them hunt for insects in the dark. Additionally, staying active at night helps bats avoid predators and competition for food with other daytime animals.
