Some type of neoprene fabric houses the envelope and is internally divided into ballonets ( fore and aft for trim- up and down), ballast tanks, and the like- now you know why the Navy operated them! Navy Blimps and the big ZR class had sheet metal hulls- OVER the rubberized load cells to maintain the shape and protect them from hostile fire. This type now obsolete- there were plans for a Zrs-7 circa late thirties, but HIndenberg crash- well evaporated any such plans, which, as a Naval craft would have to have been steered through Congress- and zeppelins got bad press!
No, a blimp is not a type of hot air balloon. While both are inflated with gas to become buoyant, hot air balloons rely on heated air to rise, while blimps are powered by engines and filled with helium or hydrogen gas for lift.
The colorful part of the balloon, the envelope, is typically made of nylon but it could be made out of many other materials such as Mylar.
A small amount of air or helium within the balloon will escape through the balloon material.
A blimp or airship uses the same principle as a hot air balloon, relying on the difference in density between the air inside the balloon (or envelope) and the surrounding air to generate lift. Both rely on the concept of buoyancy to stay aloft.
Air cannot go through a normal balloon because the rubber material is impermeable. However, if the balloon has a hole or is porous, air can leak out.
blimp
yes it is a big BALLOON :^)
a bit like a balloon
No it was not a blimp. It was a Zeppelin. A zeppelin is much bigger and is a frame work filled with a bunch of bladders when a Blimp is a single balloon filled with gas.
The French Montgolfier Brothers were the first to fly a balloon, I'm not sure about a blimp. They are not the same.

nothing. you start the game with the blimp and can travel to all islands with it. you don't need a thing.
Yes, it can. Just as helium balloon will.
The term "blimp" originated in the early twentieth century, around 1915. The word supposedly sounds like the sound a balloon creates when it is tapped.
syn.-blimp/air ant.-thin/empty/popped/unfilled
The gas is hot air.
This depends on many variables. What is the weight of the notebook, what is the diameter of the balloon, what material is used for the balloon, what gas is used to fill the balloon, what is the weight of the material that is attached to the balloon and the notebook, is this taking place in earth's atmosphere, or somewhere else. There are several other minor variables, as well. And do remember, the balloon must be filled with a gas that is lighter than the surrounding medium!
