When the Southern Hemisphere is most tilted toward the sun (the south pole

Southern Hemisphere's summer season.
Gravity pulls all things toward the center of the earth-- as a result, everyone on earth only feels upside down if their head is pointing toward the ground or they are high/drunk on something. North and South are just directions given to indicate the intersection of earth and its axes at the extreme edges of the earth. North is considered "up" simply because more people live in the northern hemisphere and most people like to think that they are "up." In fact, people in the southern hemisphere, especially Australia, have maps that we would consider upside-down, where north is down and south is up.
Captain Scott and his expeditioners trekked toward the South Pole, hauling sleds loaded with expedition supplies. This style of transit is called man-hauling.
The Northern Hemisphere experiences winter when the South Pole is pointed toward the Sun.
i do not like this
If one end the Earth's axis always pointed toward the sun, then one pole would ALWAYS be in daylight, and the other pole would NEVER see daylight. Which is which would depend on which end of the axis pointed toward the sun. The Earth's "poles" are the ends of its axis of rotation. It's not possible for either end of the axis to point toward the equator or toward my latitude.
Because the left hand of a famous statue pointed to the south.
What is special is that those bits of metal are magnetized, and their orientation is such that their poles are pointed to the magnetic. Lastly, the poles of the bits of metal that are pointed toward the magnet are the same as the pole of the magnetic that is pointing toward them. North pushes away north, or south pushes away south. (Like poles repel while opposite poles attract.)
The Southern Hemisphere would be pointed away from the sun in order for the South Pole to experience 24 hours of darkness -- which occurs at the pole every day between about March 21 and September 21.
