There is gravity on the moon! The gravity on the Moon is 1/6th that of what is observed on Earth. An object with a weight of 36 kg on Earth would weigh 1/6th that on the Moon. 1/6th of 36kg is, 6 kg. An object with a MASS of 36 kg on Earth would have the same 36 kg MASS on the moon.
