No animals have been landed on Mars yet. No humans have been on Mars either. As far as animals living on Mars, there is no current knowledge of that either, although speculation exists.
Transporting animals (or people) to Mars is still not practical. Currently it would take several months to get there, during which time cosmic rays would cause serious damage to the passengers, and such a mission would require huge amounts of food (which must somehow be preserved for probably at least 5 years to get there, land, and return to Earth), water and breathable air be brought. At present, such a mission is impractical because of how much fuel would be required to carry everything to Mars, land it, launch back into space from Mars' surface and return to Earth. It also costs a lot of money, in the billions and possibly trillions.
