Ok first that's true but it would take billions and billions of years for the sun to blow up.

That certainly helps us all feel better. But how do you really know that it won't happen tomorrow ?
the sun can't explode because it isn't big enough. The sun has already been around for about 5 billion years and has burned up about half of it's hydrogen fuel. In that case in the next 5 billion years or so it will completly run out of hydrogen and start expanding into a red giant. It will get atleast as big as Mercury's orbit buning murcury up and will mostlikely burn venus too and possibly (probably) but possibly earth. Then it will cool down into a nice small white dwarf then in a long time dissapear after a black dwarf.
I pretty sure that all the heat and radiation, plus the shock wave, would destroy Earth and a lot of other things around it. If somehow the world did somehow survive the explosion the world would freeze over in moments ,freezing and killing everyone in there foot steps.<---
LOONNGGGG story short EVERYONE WOULD BE DEAD
well if the sun were to blow up right this second, you wouldn't exactly know for the next 8 minutes. That's how long it will take the last remaining light from the sun to reach the earth.
After that, it will just be darkness, and seeing the moon will be on the other side of the earth while this is happening, there will be no moon either. So that means complete darkness! maybe a few stars.
but i wouldn't worry about it, because the sun actually expands and the sun will expand and burn the earth up wayyy before it will blow up. In fact, stars like the sun don't actually blow up... they eventually die.
Your question is just a hypothetical. It couldn't actually happen

I think that this could happen, anything is possible and this might really occur. Like you said, stars die. The sun is a star so it may die one day. Hopefully not any time soon, but it may happen.
No. The sun is not massive enough to go supernova.
According to a book I read about the universe the sun will swallow Mercury and Venus and make the earth 1,000,000 degrees hot and the earth will be the new sun
Then we would have no more sunlight; life on Earth would die.
you die
nothing would happen, the sun is constantly going through nuclear reactions
Nothing would happen if the moon was on the left and the sun on the right. The moon and sun are often on different sides of the earth.
Firstly, our Sun will never go supernova as it does not have enough mass. If our Sun was to go supernova, then it would have to be a massive star, which would mean it's life span will be in the millions, rather than billions of years. Human life would never have evolved before the Sun exploded. But let's just say it did!!! We've be dead well before it exploded as the Sun would still go through a red giant phase. But let's say we're observing from a distance. A great distance. There Sun will pulse, growing larger then contracting. Without any warning, it will make one last pulse, contract quickly and explode. All the planets will be destroyed and ripped apart in the blast.
we would die
we would all die because it would be to cold
If the sun exploded it would not give us oxygen; it would simply vaporize Earth.
If our Sun exploded, it would destroy most of the planets, and kill us all. Fortunately, this does not seem likely.
If half the sun exploded, the other half would, too.
you would die!
We would all die
Everyone would be dead
8 minutes
It wouldn't and couldn't
planets will fall to the outer space ,they will collide with each other and they will melt or exploded
It would probably create a localized ozone hole.
we'd all die aaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh is that going to happen or somthing??? aaaahhh i hope not!
