Aristotle observed that during a lunar eclipse, the shape of the Earth's shadow on the moon was curved. He reasoned that only a spherical object could cast a curved shadow, leading him to believe that the Earth was round. Additionally, Aristotle noted that as ships sail away from the shore, the hull disappears before the mast, suggesting the curvature of the Earth.
The first place to see the sunrise is typically on the easternmost coast of a country or island, such as in Samoa or Tonga in the South Pacific. These locations are closest to the International Date Line, where the new day begins.
No planet goes around the Earth. The Moon, Earth's satellite orbits around the Earth, once ever 27 days and 7 hours.
To say that there was once a "theory" that the Sun went around the Earth is to give it too much merit; isn't it OBVIOUS that the Sun goes around the Earth? After all, can't you SEE, with your OWN TWO EYES, that the Earth is flat, and stationary, and that the Sun, Moon and Stars all rise and fall each day? In fact, many things that we "know" are "obvious" are wrong. Often, in the realm of economic and political theories, DANGEROUSLY wrong. We are deceived by our own senses into believing that the Earth is flat, when it is round; that the Earth is stationary, when it is both orbiting the Sun and spinning like a top, and that the Moon goes around the Earth. OK, bad example; the Moon really DOES go around the Earth. But early scientists like Aristarchus of Samos figured out that the Earth was round, and went around the Sun, over 2400 years ago. Arguing from the evidence of his own senses, Aristotle (who may have been the wrong-est man ever to live!) persuaded the elite of Greek society, and the elites of all other societies for the next two thousand years, that only their senses, rather than their intellect, was to be trusted. This is called the "appeal to authority", a fallacy still being perpetrated on humanity today.
When the theory that the Sun goes around the Earth was replaced with the theory that the Earth goes around the Sun, it was called a paradigm shift.

It all depends on what you ride in. I think the fastest jet right now goes over 6 mach.
Earth looks like a sphere - a round ball.
They study maps, and how the earth goes round
The moon follows the Earth because it is stuck in Earths gravitational pull.
The Earth goes round the sun once
Because ATMOSPHERE goes around our ROUND Earth!

No,First, the Moon goes round the Earth, not the other war round.Second, all orbits are ellipses not circles.
