Most of the roughly 4 x 1026 Watts that the sun emits (I would guess 99.9% of it) simply radiates out into the universe according to the inverse square law. Eventually most of this energy would get absorbed by the gas and dust in the Milky Way.
no the sun doesn't get cold because the sun is always so hot . if the sun is cold why then people cant go in sun. sun never get cold.
The sun shines because of nuclear fusion reactions occurring in its core. These reactions release energy in the form of light and heat, which illuminates our solar system. The sun will continue to shine as long as it has fuel to sustain these fusion reactions.
Because the high-energy processes going on emit electromagnetic waves across the whole spectrum, including visible light, radio waves, and gamma rays.About half of the heat that the Sun's light brings is due to wavelengths longer than visible light: infrared radiation.
The sun is essential to our survival. Our earth needs its heat and light as well as its magnetic force. Its gravitational force keeps us circling in place so that we don't go spinning off in space to collide with other heavenly bodies. Heat from the sun keeps earth warm. Because the earth rotates every 24 hours, the sun's heat helps earth maintain a relatively stable temperature. Without the sun, our earth would be a frozen sphere that couldn't support life. Finally, light from the sun enables plants to grow. Without light, there would be no plants because plants need sunlight in order to process (photosynthesize) their food. Plants product all of the foods that animals eat. And without plants, there would be no forms of life as we know them. All life on earth is dependent for its survival on vegetation either directly or indirectly
Those stars are very far from us ! & as Edwin Hubble saw from his telescope that the Universe is Expanding ! Thats why according to law of thermodynamics temprature of universe decreases and wavelength of radiations increases & goes beyond of our visual spectrum (microwave radiations) ! Thats why sky appears black even if there are stars ! Tempreature of these radiations is below zero degree celcius ! But the stars which we can see in the night sky ! It is the common sense that as we go away & away from hot body we feel lesser & lesser heat ! Hope this answer will satisfy your curiosity ! Additional Answer: This question's supposition is incorrect. The Earth DOES get heat and light from the other stars in the night sky. (If we did not get light from them, how would we see them?) The heat and light something gives off is indirectly proportional to the distance between us and the heat/light source. (Confirm this in person experience, where a light bulb is hot to touch, but as you draw your hand away the heat dissipates.)
That would be fatal due to the extreme heat or we would go blind from the intensity of the light
Energy comes from the sun, which is our natural ligh. The sun produces heat and light for the planets. Without the sun we would not exist and the planets would go off in a straight line.
if there is no light then that means there is no sun. If there is no sun then that means the world is with out heat. so this, means we will go it a big ice age and the world will spin of and find something eles to orbit.
Both of the devices are the same apart, from the fact that the psp go black can heat up faster if it is used in sun light.
The sun gives light so you can see, gives heat so you can live, gives gravity so the earth does not go flying off into the cold space.

The Sun's light, heat, x-rays, cosmic rays, gamma rays and so forth, all radiate out into space. A very tiny part of this radiation is stopped when it runs into a planet, like Earth, for instance.
The sun is important to the sun in many ways. First of all, the sun gives off warmth. Some of this warmth will go towards earth, causing the earth to heat up. The heat waves that do not go through the earth's atmosphere will bounce back and hit the sun. This helps give the sun warmth to itself, so it can continue to create more and more heat for the earth. Secondly, if the sun did not exist, then how could the sun see anything? The sun obviously needs light in order to see the earth, so it knows where to aim its heat waves at. If the sun could not see the earth, it would most likely spew its heat waves all across the galaxy, hitting other solar systems, causing them to burn to a crisp. Lastly, the sun needs a companion. Someone to give it encouragement when times are tough. Occasionally, the sun gets sick of creating heat, and simply wants to give up on what it was created for; heat, and warmth, and the major light source during the day, and reflecting its light off the moon's surface to give us our major light source during the night. In these terrible times or hardship, the sun is in dire need for someone or something to encourage it. Luckily, the sun has the sun to help it get through these tough times. We are very fortunate that the sun has something that gives it encouragement. It is possible that the sun may stop working, if it doesn't have something to encourage it every now and again.

Heat, like light, can travel as electromagnetic waves through the vacuum of space. However most stars are so remote that the amount of heat reaching us is negligible. The only star which gives us measurable heat is the Sun.
The heat generated in the sun prevents us from reaching it. The heat is about 5500 degrees celcius and no ordinary human or supernatural machine can reach the sun.
It goes from light energy from the sun to chemical energy to chemical, mechanical, and heat energy and the chemical energy can go to mechanical and heat energy. Then the remaining chemical energy goes to chemical, heat, and mechanical energy again and it keeps on repeating.
