Scientists have not found life in extreme environments such as the deep ocean trenches, like the Mariana Trench, where conditions are highly pressurized and dark. Additionally, the interior of the Earth's crust, particularly in ancient, stable rock formations, has yet to reveal any signs of life. Similarly, the upper atmosphere and regions of extreme heat, such as active volcanoes, remain largely unexplored for microbial life. These locations challenge our understanding of life's adaptability and resilience.
Mars
As of now, there is no definitive evidence of life outside of Earth's atmosphere. Scientists continue to search for signs of life in places like Mars, Europa, and Enceladus, but no concrete proof has been discovered yet.
Scientists really haven't found bones on the Moon. If there were bones on the moon that might mean a really old astronaut was already there.
Earth is similar to Mars because we know that life is possible on earth and some scientists believe that life is also possible in mars because it has some things which is also present in Earth and is needed for all living things.
Not yet. When they say not yet, scientists have shown that bacteria on mars or similar planets could be possible, they just haven't found it. In 2004, a team of scientists dug a hole 4000 feet deep into volcanic rock in Hawaii. They found bacteria on living conditions extremely similar to those on mars. Although no bacteria has been found on mars, or anywhere else, we have the proof that it may be able to exist.
Life has been found just about anywhere on Earth.
So far - Earth
Scientists believe life originated on Earth around 3.5 to 4 billion years ago. This is based on fossil evidence of simple life forms found in rocks dating back to that time period and the presence of key molecules necessary for life in early Earth environments.
So far Earth. They do have robots on Mars so they could be evidence.
It used to be. Scientists have found frozen water on Mars.
So far, scientists haven't found solid proof of any form of life outside of Earth. However, scientists have found signs of life on Mars, and some believe that bacterial life exists there. However, we still are more than 80% sure that there is no life on Mars.
They have studied and researched our solar system and found no extraterrestrial life beyond the Earth.
Earth is the only planet known to have life on it, however with the vastness of space the likelihood of life not existing anywhere else is astronomically low. We just havent found it yet.
Scientists believe that the molecule that came first in the evolution of life on Earth is RNA (ribonucleic acid).
The biosphere is where all ecosystems exist. The amazing thing is that scientists have found life even in sulfur pools and in the deepest oceans, in deserts etc.
Life it ubiquitous on and in the Earth. Earth has been terraformed by the biosphere.
Scientists study the characteristics that make life on earth possible so they can figure out when life will know longer be possible. They also want to know what causes life to not be possible.
