I went to the site and found some good information on the spikes running shoes. They have miniature spikes made of light rubber under the soles. They help to keep the grip on the surface.
spikes.
to run faster obviously
Modern golf shoes are made with the golf turf in mind. Most shoes have rubber spikes to form to the course so as not to tear up the grass. The spikes used to made of metal or hard plastic which would tear up the putting greens.
Its a bad idea. You wouldn't be any faster then with normal shoes the spikes are to small to get grip. Just designed to penitrate rubbery track surface with little effect. Use on grass could break the spikes. Trust me just use cleats. There are special spike shoes used for grass that javelin throwers use. The spikes can be as long as 1". They are designed to grip the slippery surface of grass/mud. However, they are not designed for the 100m dash.
No. They're obviously made onto the shoes. Unless they're Heelies(TM) , then I think it's no.

Steve usually wore Adidas cleats until Bill Bowerman custom made Steve the first Nike shoes ever invented.
Support is the first thing. Hiking boots are made for hiking, while running shoes are made for running. Hiking boots are also water proof, which will save the feet because streams and wet ground can bother the foot.
Running shoes from Nike and Puma provide the best cross country running shoes for women. They are made of great quality and the prices are very reasonable.
In the last century, trainers have gone from rubber soled plimsolls to air cushioned, gel-filled capsules worn as much for their looks as their sporting performance. Here's how we got there. An early example of the running shoe, is the plimsoll -- a rubber-soled cloth shoe, or sneaker. It was created from a newly developed process called vulcanization - still in use today - which uses heat to meld rubber and cloth together. Plimsolls were lightweight and comfortable, and unlike other shoes, they enabled the wearer to move around quietly. Because of this, they became known as 'sneakers', and in 1917 the Keds shoe company was set up to sell them to America. While Keds were the first to sell these shoes on a mass scale, specialist running spikes had already been around for a long time. In the late 1890s, a British company called J.W. Foster and Sons (now known as Reebok) developed some of the earliest known running shoes with spikes in them. The company's founder, Joseph William Foster, loved running and wanted to develop a shoe that would help increase his speed. He came up with the running spike. In 1925, a German named Adi Dassler took spikes a step further. He created a range of shoes with hand forged spikes, with different shoes for different distances. Hisstate of the art materials made them as light as possible.
