Video and audio OUT from the machine you're playing the original tape from, to Video and audio IN on the machine you're going to make your copy on.

Set the recording VCR to `line in`as the input.

Start the recording machine first then press play on the playing machine and sit back and relax until they're done.

In order to make a duplicate ("dupe") or copy of a cassette tape, you need a dual cassette deck that has recording capability. Using the dual cassette deck, you should be able to create the copy of the original cassette.

You play it in one while the second one records it. That means the output of the one playing has to be connected to the input of the second one that is doing the recording. The output for the one recording should be connected to the TV. You will be able to see the VCR that has the tape playing on the TV whether you are using the second VCR to record or not
