If you have a video on your computer that you want to load into iTunes you can simply drag the video's icon into the iTunes icon in the dock.
If the movie is on your Mac simply click on the movie's icon and drag it into the iTunes icon in the dock and the movie will be imported into iTunes.
You have to dock it to a computer, and then you can drag songs to and from it using iTunes.
On a Mac click on the music file in a folder and drag it into the iTunes Window and the music will be added to your iTunes library. If iTunes is not running you can drag the music file into the iTunes icon in the dock and it will be added to the library.

Is this iTunes icon in the dock? Grab it and drag it out of the Dock, and it will go away. Then drag the icon of the application you want to use into the Dock. If you mean the application icon...that's fixable too, at least on a Mac. Create or get the new icon you want. Copy it. Find iTunes, which is in the Applications folder, and do Get Info--command-I. Click on the icon at the top of the info box, and Paste the new icon in. Very easy to do.
To add a movie in a suitable format from your Mac to your iTunes library you can either drag it onto the iTunes icon in the Dock; drag it into the Library section (top left corner) of the iTunes window, or select Add to Library... from the iTunes File menu.
You may have a defective USB cable, or you may have a broken dock connector on your iPad.

Your media can be placed anywhere you wish, whether on the Internal or external hard drives or even on CDs. Use iTunes preferences to indicate how iTunes adds media to your iTunes Library. If you manually move media around, iTunes will not know where it is. So after moving any media, drag the media from its new location on to the iTunes dock icon. Media that iTunes has lost contact with will be marked by an ! mark. You can have iTunes find the media by locating the media for iTunes.
If the song is permanently deleted from every source you have, you will just have to pay for it again.
