When your iPod says "synchronizing," it means that the device is transferring data between itself and a connected computer, usually via iTunes or Finder. This process typically involves updating music, videos, playlists, and other content, ensuring that what's on the iPod matches what is stored on the computer. Synchronization can also include backing up settings and data from the iPod to the computer.
ide personally reboot your comp with your ipod plugged in then see what happens!!
I don't think you have to do anything unless the computer says that it is synchronizing otherwise it shouldn't matter and you can just unplug it.
synchronizing something again
Get some internet service.
