Anne Frank's cat was named Moortje. Moortje was a female cat that belonged to the Frank family while they were in hiding during World War II.
Anne's favorite subject was history, and she was particularly fascinated with Mythology and Genealogy. Anne liked dogs fully as well as she like cats, though most people who knew the Franks considered the family "cat" people. Anne could dislocate one arm at will, to the endless amazement of her friends.
Another person staying with the franks in the annex owned a cat when the Nazi's came to check out the building the cat meowed giving them away, the franks and others staying with them were sent to concentration camps. Actually nobody knows
