Laura Ingalls Wilde never lived in Nebraska. She was born in Wisconsin and the family then moved to Kansas. After her sister Carrie was born, they once again moved back to Wisconsin and stayed for four years. The family then made a move to Walnut Grove, Minnesota where she met Almanzo Wilder and married him.
