Lewis Carroll, whose real name was Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, was a mathematician and logician who began writing Fairy Tales and children's stories as a hobby. His most famous work, "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland," was inspired by a boat trip he took with the Liddell family, during which he entertained the children with a fantastical story. It was the positive reception to these stories that led Carroll to pursue writing as a career.
The Walrus and the Carpenter appeared in Lewis Carroll's Through the Looking Glass in 1871. He began writing his second Alice novel in 1866 and presumably composed the poem during this five year period.

Lots of people. Anyone can write a fairytale as long as they have a good imagination.
There is no evidence whatsoever to suggest that Lewis Carroll ever used any form of narcotic. Carroll was a very conservative and respectable gentleman and there is no reason to suppose that he used narcotics other than wishful thinking on the part of people who would like it if there were a connection between ''Alice's Adventures in Wonderland'' and the recreational use of drugs. He definitely wasn't crazy, either. He was a mathematician, with a very clear and logical understanding of everything around him. It's because he was so logical that he could play with logic as he did. The crazy answers and unreasonable reason of his characters are strange, most of the time hilarious, but they never actually lack in logic. The story is so twisted and wonderful because Lewis Carroll was also very creative and imaginative. Lewis Caroll was neither crazy nor on drugs when he wrote Alice in Wonderland. He was extremely tired of children's books trying to teach a moral or with a religious theme. He wanted to write pure fantasy that children could simply enjoy.
Lord Voldemort. He became a fairy in 1884 and has stayed one ever since.
C.S. Lewis, one of my personal favorite authors.
How do you drink fairy dust? Fairy dust is not toxic, it has other effects such as making you fly. This is completely up to you. You as the writer get to make up what fairy dust does to various species and you get to make up vulnerabilities.
No, Spider Man is a fantasy character. Fairy and folktales originally were told, but not written down until much later. Spider Man was created by a specific writer therefore he is a fantasy rather than a fairy tale character.
