As far as I know, he found out from survivors of Bergen-Belsen.
No Anne frank is dead she was dead in the 1960s
the lady that was hiding anne found it and was going to give it to anne when she got out of the concentration camp but when she found out she was dead she gave it to annes father
Anne Frank wrote the diary but her father, Otto, published it when he realised his daughter was dead after the war and wanted her name to be remembered around the world.
Anne Frank's father was 55 when she died. Otto Frank was born on May 12 1889; Anne is believed to have died in early March 1945. Otto Frank himself died in Switzerland on August 18, 1980, at the age of 91.
The lady that was hiding the families in that office saved it for Anne, but when she found out she was dead she gave it to her father.
There are two probable reasons Otto remarried. On is that he needed someone to care for in his life. Secondly, he truly fell in love with Fritzi Geiringer. Otto had revered Edith Frank, and no man could have treated a wife better - but he was not in love with Edith (it had been almost an arranged marriage), and Anne had discerned as much in her diary. The pages of the diary where Anne discusses this are now available in "The Diary of Anne Frank - the Critical Edition", but were, of course, suppressed by Otto for many years out of respect for his dead first wife. When he was dying, he gave the pages to Cor Sujik, and told him he "didn't want them back". After Otto's death, Sujik eventually gave them to the Anne Frank Foundation, and they are included in the Critical Edition.
He survived, edited Anne's now famous diary and got it published. :) At that time neither he nor the publisher imagined that the short book would make Anne Frank the most famous Holocaust victim of all.
Anne Frank was arrested on 4th August 1944. Soon after arrest, Miep Gies found her diary and kept it. In July 1945 when Anne died, Miep decided to give the diary to her father Otto Frank. Miep Gies, who has been keeping diary, died earlier this year.
The controversy was caused by Holocaust deniers, who detest the book. Before it was published Anne Frank's father edited the diary for publication, on the advice of the publishers. Nearly all books by dead authors require some editing. See the link, which provides some information on these matters.
They found her journal in the office under the "Secret Annexe", where the Van Daans, Franks, and a dentist named Dussel were in hiding. After Mr. Frank was freed from the men's concentration camp, he learned that his wife and two daughters(one was Anne) were dead. He and Miep, a lady who had helped the Franks hide, went back to the office to look for possesions. There, they found her diary.
Yes, there are many of Anne Frank's friends still alive in 2014. Most were childhood friends like Hennelore Klein, Eva Geivinger and Mary Nos some even survived the holocaust like Jacqueline Van Marsen, some seen Anne while she was in the last camp alive like Bloeme Evers-Emoen, Nannette Blitz and Hanneli Goslar.
The Franks were found through archaeology, historical records, and genetic studies. Archaeological excavations have uncovered artifacts and remains associated with the Franks, while historical records from the medieval period provide written accounts of their existence. Genetic studies have also helped in tracing the origins and movements of the Frankish people.
