She first lived in Pepin, Wisconsin. Then, the Ingalls family moved to "Indian Territory" in Kansas. They moved back to Pepin before going to Plum Creek, Minnesota. Next, they moved to De Smet, South Dakota, where Laura married Almanzo. Then, the two of them moved to Florida for about two years. Laura did not like the hot and humid climate; so they moved to Mansfield, Missouri, where they lived for about 55 to 65 years.

I think that Laura and Almanzo also visited a cousin (I think Laura's cousin Peter) for a few months in Louisiana. Though, I did not include that in the 6 places.

As a married woman, she then moved to Spring Valley, Minnesota to her in-laws for about 18 months, then to the Florida Panhandle, for a very brief time (about 9 months), then back to Spring Valley, briefly, then back to De Smet. Finally she moved to Mansfield, Missouri, and spent the next 60 years of her life there, until her death.

Pretty much her whole life. 1st her family moved to Kansas from Wisconsin in 1869. Then even though it doesn't say it in her books, the Ingalls move for a 2nd time back to Wisconsin in 1871. Then in 1874 The Ingalls move to Walnut Grove, Minnesota. In 1876, this isn't in her books but, they move to Burr Oak, Iowa but, then in 1878 the Ingalls move back to Walnut Grove, Minnesota. Then in 1979 they move to DeSmet, Dakota Territory. Finally for the last time Laura and Almanzo Wilder move to Mansfield, Missouri on Rocky Ridge Farm in 1894. So she moved 7 times, all in a covered wagon.

Laura had to portray herself as older in her book Little House on the Prairie because of the chronology she had set up in her first book. With the third book On the Banks of Plum Creek, she is back to her correct age.
