Hi! I'm doing a project on Helen Musselwhite for my art GCSE and yeah, I got an email from her a while back telling me some things about the work. I will copy and paste the email;

Most of the paper I use is already coloured and I buy it from art shops and Paperchase, the brands I use most are Mi Tientes by Canson and Murano by Daler Rowney, I also like water colour paper for my white on white pieces.The Mi Tientes paper has a textured and a smooth side.

Wrapping paper is also good to use too.

I use a scalpel (10a blades) and always make sure the blade is sharp and small scissors for cutting scoring etc.

Basically I'm always on the look out for new papers and if I can't find the colour I want I paint water colour paper, 300 gsm is a good weight for cutting and heavier is better for backgrounds.

Does that help? :D
